Highlights of this weekend:
- i went to the Gym for the 6th day in a row on Sat; I think i am finally getting the hang of this…
- i spent 3 hours w/ DJ developing B&W prints @ Callenwalde; pretty kewl stuff
- i cut the lawn, weeded, raked the leaves for our front and back yard.
- i carried three heavy-ass doors into the ‘fixerup’ house that we are renovating
- i ran a cable and telephone line to the 3rd bedroom
- i bought a Fossil Abacus MSN Direct watch on eBay
Dayllight savings has receded and the full lunar eclipse has passed all before all Hallow’s Eve; I watched ‘Dawn of the Dead’ [2003 version] to round it all off…
MP3 ideas:
So I bought the Creative Labs MuVo 256MB from Frys for $100; I found out they have it on sale at Outpost for $70, so I tried to get them to pice match. [Outpost is the online store for Frys]. They wouldn’t, so I returned it.
I then decided to upgrade my Sony Clie and use it as an MP3 player. I found the PEG-NZ90 on eBay and boough it [yea, I said I would never buy Sony again, but…]. I also got a 512MB CF Card for MP3s. Now here is the trick- since the Clie is made by Sony, they only want you to be able use the CF slot for a Sony 802.11b wiresless card- so I had to find a 3rd party software to use for the CF access. In addition, Sony uses a proprietary sound hardware [not the Palm standard] so I had to get another driver to work with PocketTunes for the Clie… I am still looking for a remote for the unit as the used one did not come with one, but Sony Parts & Accessories wants $45 for it… [I have bid on 2 on eBay, but they went for $41+ each before I dropped out of the bidding].
So anyway- the Clie is a little bulky for the gym- I need a case and the remote to make it work the way I want it too… [perhaps I will take a waist bag and let people look at me like I am crazy or something].
I am seriously thinking of getting an iPod– but $300 for 20GB or $400 for a 40GB [I can get the later for $360 via CDW] is a LOT of money.
I have found a MuVo2 without the 4GB drive on eBay for around $45; I can use my present CF card and have a fairly small MP3 player…
Hmmm.. which way to go for workout music?
